ABOUT
CV

My name is Daniel! I'm a playful communication designer from Norway using co-design to uncover real needs and create solutions that genuinely improve people's lives.

I’m driven by a desire to tackle complex issues. That is why, after a decade of freelance work, I'm now doing a Master's in design. My past experience honed my visual skills, and combined with human-centered methods and a playful approach, I contribute across the full process: from research and facilitation to visually strong solutions. I have a big passion for inclusive & universal design, and I’m training to become an expert that creates work that's beautiful, functional, and inclusive for as many as possible.

Who
Go Fjords, a Norwegian travel agency looking to establish their young brand.

What
A long-term freelance collaboration where I contributed to the brand on a strategic level as well as service development, designing a travel assistant app, and creating visual communication across platforms.

How
Working closely with management, marketing, and technical developers, I built relationships that allowed me to challenge the company's thinking. I used a minimalist approach to set Go Fjords apart from competitors and interviewed customers to make sure the designs supported their user-journey.

The travel assistant app contains the traveler’s ticket, intinerary and audio guide on Go Fjords’ trips.

Some prints I designed, where I use the format to break up the content and avoid overwhelming the reader.

Logo for a travel concept that transports travelers directly to the famous attraction Preikestolen.

In collab with illustrator, Georgina Terragni, I developed three motifs for Go Fjords’ offices that capture the magic of Norwegian nature. Rich in details, they invite you to stop and study them.
