ABOUT
CV
My name is Daniel! I'm a playful communication designer from Norway using co-design to uncover real needs and create solutions that genuinely improve people's lives and the planet we live on.
I’m driven by a desire to tackle complex issues. That is why, after a decade of freelance work, I'm now doing a Master's in design. My past experience honed my visual skills, and combined with human-centered methods and a playful approach, I contribute across the full process: from research and facilitation to visually strong solutions. I have a big passion for inclusive & universal design, and I’m training to become an expert that creates work that's beautiful, functional, and inclusive for as many as possible.

What
A reimagined version of Tic-Tac-Toe that teaches quantum physics principles through play. Five
levels of increasing complexity, each introducing new mechanics that connect to quantum concepts.
Who
Made for students from elementary school to university, in collaboration with cryptologist Hans Heum.
How
I translated Heum's concept into a user-friendly board game, simplifying complex mechanics through colour, shape, and graphics while ensuring inclusivity for colour blind players. Ongoing user testing shapes the design as the project develops.
A rough digital prototype to reach more people interested in user testing has also been created. Still work in progress, but can be played at quantum.heum.me.
A selection of images from user tests where prototypes are used to evaluate different ideas and solutions to design challenges.
